Navigating the Patient

Surgical procedures are carried out using predominantly data from computed tomography (CT) or magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). These patient images are continuously compared with the area of intervention during surgery. The navigation system enables the surgeon to achieve accuracy to a millimeter during the operation. The clinical navigation system is applied in neurosurgery, otolaryngology, as well as oral and maxillofacial surgery. It eases the surgeon’s work, leads to a reduction in complications and minimizes surgery time. The Fiagon system is being used successfully already in over 40 countries.
